Warehouse Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining inventory, managing warehouse staff, ensuring safe and efficient material handling, and coordinating the delivery of construction materials and equipment to various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of construction materials and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software or other tools.
    • Track the usage and movement of materials between the warehouse and job sites, ensuring availability of materials as needed.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
    • Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
    • Assign tasks and ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and efficiency goals.
  • Logistics & Distribution:
    • Coordinate the timely delivery and pickup of materials to and from job sites.
    • Ensure proper organization of storage spaces, including the use of shelving, bins, and other equipment for easy access and safety.
    • Work closely with project managers to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
    • Ensure all staff members are trained in proper handling of materials, equipment, and safety procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Recordkeeping & Reporting:
    • Maintain records of materials issued, received, and disposed of, ensuring all transactions are documented.
    • Prepare inventory reports for senior management and provide updates on stock levels and material needs.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of construction equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, cranes, small engine equipment and other tools.
    • Coordinate repairs and replacements when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably in the construction industry or related field.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Experience with warehouse management software (e.g., Procore) and basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and operate warehouse machinery (forklifts, cranes, etc.) safely.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s degree in logistics, business management, or related field (preferred).
  • 4 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a construction environment.
